Bicycle Safety Events

Earth Day Festival

Saturday, April 13, 2019, from 1 - 4 p.m.

Pleasanton Library, 400 Old Bernal Avenue, Pleasanton 

Come learn how to incorporate eco-friendly practices into your everyday living such as energy conservation, water conservation, recycling, and clean air commuting. Minor bike repairs, bike helmet fittings/exchange, and bicycle rodeo safety course, and other sustainable information are planned.  FUN for all ages and FREE for all attendees.

School-age bicyclists can learn safe biking skills in the Bike Rodeo course. Pleasanton Police Department will be on hand to conduct Helmet Fittings & Exchanges and provide Crime Prevention tips. Bicycle safety activities are led by trained instructors through Alameda County Safe Routes to School Program.  

Bike to the festival and don't forget to wear your helmet! Participants can bring their bike for free minor tune-ups provided by BikeMobile, a service sponsored by the Alameda County Safe Routes to School Program. Additional activities include a Bike Safety Trivia Wheel, Bike-powered blender, helmet decorating, and more!
