Join the City of Pleasanton’s largest youth basketball program!

Registration for Pleasanton Youth Basketball (PYB) is now open! PYB is a recreational basketball program open to boys and girls entering grades 1-12. All skill levels are highly encouraged to participate in this inclusive program. Participants will learn and improve their basketball skills, make new friends, and learn what it means to be part of a team. Due to the popularity of the program, PYB is open to Pleasanton residents only. Registration fee is $135 and includes a jersey, practice time and league participation. Practices begin the week of November 2, 2015. Games are played every Saturday December 5, 2015- February 27, 2016.

The City of Pleasanton is also looking for volunteer coaches for the PYB program. To become a volunteer coach you must complete the Volunteer Application and pass a DOJ screening. No prior coaching experience necessary. This year, head coaches children play for FREE (registration fee to be refunded at the end of the season). The City of Pleasanton will hold coaching clinics and provide support, as needed. Let us know if you would like to coach with a neighbor, friend or colleague – requests will be honored!

Youth Sports Officials are also needed for this outstanding program! No prior experience necessary, training will be provided. If you enjoy working with youth, are reliable and have a positive attitude, this is the job for you! Apply now at www.cityofpleasantonca.gov.
