PLEASANTON LIBRARY PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP

After graduating with a journalism major, Simon Guan started to work as a photojournalist

and editor for China Photography Magazine. In the 1980s and 1990s, he won 2nd place in

the 15th China National Portrait Photography Competition, and 3rd place in the 16th National

General Photography Competition. He is a member of the China Photography Association.

He is now a guest professor for both the College of Art at Tsinghua University and the College.

of Media at Beijing University. He’s been working in the field of photographic education for

29 years now.
